What Is Understanding Information Systems (UIS) Training?
To introduce and provide a foundation for understanding the variety of technical and hardware concepts involved in system development plus the different steps involved in building systems to deliver business solutions. To enable delegates to discuss system requirements with experienced IT staff, using appropriate terminology and jargon. By the end of the course delegates will be able to relate system requirements to business objectives. Recognise the stages of a project, describe their purpose, and understand the roles played by User staff and IT specialists. Describe the system in terms of hardware features, general configuration of networks and processing. Assess and review specifications and diagrams produced through systems analysis and design, recognising logical and physical views. Communicate on equal terms with experienced user and IT staff.
